Last week during Passover Mr. Prager mentioned on air that he was enjoying a Belgium waffle. Imagine my surprise as I (a Vegan) was in starvation mode without my usual daily staples such as oatmeal and rice, etc. hearing Prager (who is well known as an observant Jew) take delight in this untouchable piece of leavening. I sent him an email immediately to see if the show had some how been taped. But when he replied to it with a "Huh?" just a few hours later I realized that he was still working. Don't get me wrong, I am a big fan of his program but since he is all about moral clarity I would like him to please clarify especially to his Jewish listeners what the deal was.

Here is the link to the Wed April 23rd podcast when he made the offending comment. It is 13:11 into the cast.

Dennis' comments seem to have been misunderstood. He was speaking from the view point of the guy to whom he was talking.
Dennis asked the other guy a question and noticed he didn't want to have his "omelet" (corrected by the other guy to "waffle") eating interrupted. I think Dennis would've known whether he was actually eating an omelet or a waffle, especially since he went on to gush over his love of waffles.
This is evident when listening to the audio. Listen again.
You need to get out more.
This is a reference to President-elect Barack Obama.
Google "Obama" and "waffle".
And if Judaism has 4 different branches, then what is an "observant" Jew?
